Happy New Year!
Please share this information with your Family, Friends and Neighbors,
and other Organizations as well.
My neighbors and I started an organization, P.O.D., Protect Our Deserts.
Our purpose is to educate those that use our desert.
Presently, our desert is being abused by Recreational Shooters that leave their targets, and shells.
They blow up Tannerite, an exploding target that scares our horses and pets.
These explosions have caused fires in Tucson and throughout the country.
There is a $1,000 fine for shooting Tannerite, an exploding target on our
BLM Lands. Due to the fact it can start a fire, it’s a Fire Hazard. There is No Shooting Allowed on State Lands!
In the Equestrian Area of Havasu, my neighbors are afraid to ride on the trials.
They are dodging bullets. We need to establish Safe Multi-Use Trails for our equestrians, hikers and side by side off roaders.
A mattress costs $35 in Dump Fees at our Republic Dump.
People are using our desert to dump for FREE their old furniture, tvs, appliances, etc.
Then the recreational shooters use this trash as targets!
PLEASE INFORM YOUR NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS ABOUT REPUBLIC’S FREE BULKY PICK-UP!

P.O.D. had a very successful Desert Clean-Up Weekend.
We had 80 volunteers and we filled a huge container with trash.
The BLM was so appreciative they paid for our dump fees!
Mark your New 2021 Calendar with our next Desert Clean-up Days on
Sat. March 27th and Sunday, March 28th from 8:30 to 3:30 both days.
We meet at the Desert Entrance on Paso de Oro & Colt Dr..
Check out the Living Magazine dated this January 15th. There is an article about P.O.D. and photos of our last clean-up day!
Thank you for helping us educate those that enjoy the desert and to “PACK IT IN! PACK IT OUT!”
